Jennie Moraitis

About the Author

When Jennie Moraitis was a little girl, she started an art club, complete with fees to buy plenty of supplies from the local Pic 'N' Save. It was a dream idea—paid-for art supplies and crafts galore! The only problem was her sisters demanded their birthday money back.

Still, the creative bug had bitten, and throughout her life, Jennie has dabbled in a variety of creative pursuits. Writing, doodling, knitting, and painting are a few of her current favorites.

She also loves encouraging other women to make time for their own creative side through her blog, Little Girl Designs.

After reading about an artist retreat online, she set out to create her own personal retreat. She realized that she didn't have to spend a lot of money to reap the benefits of focused creative time.

Her book, The Creative Retreat, has been read by women all over the world, and she loves to hear how these mini-retreats are making a real difference.

Jennie's latest book, Happy Journal, Happy Life, chronicles her discovery of the happy journal. The joy she's found in drawing her day led her to share this simple, but powerful method with the world.
